About CMS Find
CMS Find grew as an extension of the original Nuke Find idea. While Nuke Find showcased phpNuke websites and the derivatives it spawned over the years, it soon became apparent that other content management systems should be showcased as well. Given the effort put in to quality content management systems in the late 1990's, by 2004 we had to make a decision, thus CMS Find was born.
CMS Find is the world's largest database of content management systems that allows you to write about your CMS and your website in our forums. We require registration to post in our forums, but we give you the opportunity to write while other sites do not. Please use professionalism, don't attack other CMS systems, and don't use profanity. Think of yourself as a professional writer to the largest newspaper in your area. If you were writing an article for everyone to see, decide how you want to portray yourself and what you created. It's that simple, but abusers will be banned.
Frequently asked questions include how much can I write, do you allow links, and where do I write my material. To answer those questions, we recommend starting a "new topic" under the category for your CMS. Tell us if you are the author or developer of the CMS if you are writing about the CMS, or tell the audience if you are the webmaster if you are writing about your website. Write a lengthy paper, perhaps 4 to 6 paragraphs long. Remember, the search engines will spider CMS Find, so no more than two links to your web site should be fine. You will be using BB Code, but you get a chance to preview what you wrote. You might want to put a link to the developer's website so others can download the CMS and try it out. Remember, we must comply with the TOS of our host, so if you write something that would put us in non-compliance we must do something, which usually means all your work is deleted. If you wouldn't put it on your website then don't put it here either. Webmasters of adult websites are out of luck, but it perfectly fine to see what adding a blog to your site (system steering) and adding web telephones can do for you.
CMS Find uses search engine optimized (SEO) versions of back end programming to help you. When you add your site to CMS Find in the correct category, and you write about your website, your material will appear in the search engines. While we attempt to help you, you are also helping us. Let's try to make CMS Find a winning situation for everyone. If you have a content management system which is not listed in the database just contact us with the information and we can make a new category. Every submission is checked by the moderators before it ts added to the CMS Find database. This includes checking to see if the cms shown is the actual cms that is used. Duplicate site checking is also utilized. All broken link reporting is followed up by moderators. When you submit a site to CMS Find it may not show up right away, depending on the workload of moderators.
For years we ran websites with straight html pages or a content management system only. To see the fantastic benefit of adding a blog to your website, and the huge benefits of content steering, we highly recommend visiting Power Blogs. We also started the webtalk program. Originally called Nuke Talk, which still exists, Web Talk shows webmasters and developers how to add SIp internet telephone capability to websites and virtual offices. Visit Live Phone for more on this subject.
We hope you enjoy your visit to CMS Find and look forward to your continuing support of this project. Whether your a simply a web visitor that wants to see websites built with various content management systems, or a developer, or perhaps a webmaster or website owner, CMS Find can benefit you.
